19 Years Later

First Picture together in 1990

Christmas Eve 2008

19 Years today, Jason and I first started Dating. I Can't believe time has flown that fast.. Where did it go ? I remember us going out to a new years eve party and then me coming home the next morning and telling my mom that Jason was the guy I was going to marry. Well after 3.5 years of dating, I was right.. Jason was who I married. I think it was fate that we were meant to be together for sure..God had a hand in it. We worked at the same Daycare together and had no clue that we even worked together because he came into work at 2 and I left at 1. We went to the same community college although I did afternoon classes and he did morning. We also went to the same church and it was funny when I saw him at work and thought... Wow, I just sat across you last Sunday at Church. I love him more and more each day and after 2 kids together I am so blessed to have him in my life. We have a wonderful family that includes his daughter Jessica and even though I am not her mother.. I am blessed that I consider her one of my kids
So Happy 19 Years Jason. You mean everything to me. I am so blessed and thankful that I have you in my life

Here's to 19+more

Toy Town Fun

+
Whose Got me ?

Logan into the Train set

Taylor and Megan hanging out by the Libary

Help!! I am in Jail.. At the police station
Although I don't seem to mind :)

Hanging out in the play Resturant. Anyone want Pizza ?

Last Tuesday, I decided I had missed Lauren and Shannon and Megan way too much so I went and called them up and asked them if they wanted to go to Toy Town with me. It's a little town mainly for Birth to 8 years with little houses. Its only down the street from there house. It's in Awhautkee. When the girls were little I used to take them there all the time and they just loved it. Althought they are now older.. They went and tagged a long and h elped me out with Conner and Logan who had the time of their life.. Both of them were so into the play houses and cars and train sets they didnt want to leave. They even have a bounce house in the back. It costs 8.00 for the first child and 6.00 for the second. I didnt have to pay for the girls.. I did pay for Taylor although I probably didnt need too.. She really couldnt play all that much. It was just a nice day with the girls again.. I miss them a ton :(... I have such good memories of them growing up.. Its hard to believe that time of my life has passed.. I really loved that Job. ( It was really more then a job for me) Afterwards we ate in the car because I knew the boys would be hungry and ready to go to sleep since we had a long drive ahead.. I took the girls home and got to see my friend Penni who I met in 94 at the first house I nannied for. I just love Penni. She is a wonderful Friend and a Christian. She makes the best cookies at Christmas time and I am greatful for her remembering to give me a plate. I miss our lunch dates and our every other week getting to see each other. For 2009 .. I plan to spend more time seeing you more Penni, even though we live on opposites ends of the earth.
I had a great day..Although I didnt think about it till I left.. Me and Penni should of gotten a picture together.. I think my brain was not working with the 2 year olds running all over a house they could easily get lost at in a matter of seconds. It was a nice day though :)

Going back to school------- Hopefully

I have decided that I am going to try and go back to school. I have always dreamed of being a teacher. I will be 38 in 3 weeks and I need to figure out what I am doing with my life so going back to school is what I have to do. I went to community college right after highschool from 89 to 2005.. I know I should get the words biggest award for being the longest in community college without a degree.. Ha! I am going to try and take online courses. I need to still be able to work. I am also going to apply for finincial aid. Jason's student loan will be payed off in August of 2011.. So hopefully I can get some and then have to pay mine off after I graduate.

So pray for me.. It's going to be a slow process but I am so determined to get it done and reach my goals

It's all about Jesus

I have always believed in Jesus. I learned from a young age that going to church is a part of life just not on Christmas and Easter but in everyday life. As I got older, I have started to realize that Christmas has such a deep emotional meaning and it's sad to me that people are so full into themselves and what they can get ( material wise)when they do not even realize they have been given the greatest gift of them all. Jesus born to Mary and Joseph born in a manager in Bethlehem came to this earth for a reason and a purpose. We all seem to be missing the mark when we focus on other things then what Christmas should be about.. It's all about Jesus.. He came to love us, to forgive us and to be the saviour for us all.. So I hope this season that you take the time and realize that Jesus is the reason for the Season. He is our hope and our future .. Without him .. there is no life.. There is nothing..

My girls

Technically there are not all my girls except for the youngest one in the blue striped.. That's Taylor she is actucally mine but the 3 girls with her I consider mine even though they have a different mommy. From 1998 to 2005. I was the girl's nanny. I remember the first time I met them. Lauren was 5 years old, Shannon was 2.5 and Megan was almost 2 months old. Lauren was doing cartwheels around the house, Shannon was playing in the sink until her dad asked if she wanted to go downstairs and watch Peter Pan and Megan of course sleeping.. She did that for most of the day for 2 years..( Megan loved to sleep) Now it's a bit harder for her that she is 10. I joke with her now and tell her that she sleep so much when she was younger that she is all caught up. The girls and me spent so much time together that I feel like my are " My Girls' even though I know that they belong to Joan and Dave.. I have been so blessed in my life to be able to watch them grow. I miss them so much and there is not a day that does not go by that I wonder what they are up too and what they are doing. Megan is now 10, Shannon is 13 and Lauren is 15.7 months ( So eager to drive I am sure). They have alll grown up so fast and have turned into amazing young ladies. I remember having so much fun with them. Summer movie program, Libary summer reading, Kids klub at the mall. Bowling. Park.. Taking them all over creation to their swim lessons and swim class and swim team. I still can't believe how much time passed. I started with them and a year later Taylor was born. Taylor and Megan were only 2 years apart and everywhere I went..Everyone asked.. Are they twins ? Both with their big brown eyes!. I will always hold a special place in my heart for them no matter how much older they get and even if they don't need me anymore. They will always be a part of my life. I miss them daily but thank goodness for School holidays and breaks. We spend time together then. I am sure I will be there when they get married etc. Each one of them has their unqiue abilities, Megan loves archery, Softball and Recorder. Shannon plays on the softball team and plays Piano and Lauren is into softball. They are all very bright students and will do well in life, I am sure of that :)

Just thought I would share how much I love and care about these girls.. Thanks Joan and Dave for loaning me your girls

Christmas Fun

Christmas is one of my most favorite times of the year. Besides the fact of Course that it's christ's Birthday. It's a wonderful time to do fun things with the kids. I have always loved watching the kids and their eyes light up when it's Christmas time. I think that Christmas is about Christ's birthday but also about making Memories with the one's you love. Spending time with them and letting them know you love them by the simple things you do. I love doing crafts with the kids and creating. I guess that is maybe why I went into the early childhood field so I could enjoy things through their eyes. When you are having a rough or bad day.. Just like a child and their toothless grin will just melt your heart. Or just listen to their logic about how things work or their ideas on life. It's amazing what you can learn from a child. Take the time to make a difference in the life of a child today. You will b glad you did.. I am blessed because I get to spend time with my niece and nephews everyday. One day I will look back on the memories we made and we can say.. Look at what we did.. Do you remember this :)Since Jake and Hannah won't be here next week, we decided to have a small Christmas party today. We had popcorn, Chocolate covered Pretzels, Ritz Crackers and the kids made their own reindeer cookies out of Nutter butter's, Red M& M's, Frosting, Pretzels and Chocolate Chips. They had a lot of fun making them and eating them. Here are some picturesYummy Reindeer Cookies :-Taylor, Hannah and Jake creating their CookiesAfter the kids ate, We made a craft. We made Lanturns. They were just adorable after they were finished. I found them at Michael's. The orginal price was suppose to be $3.29 but I got them on Sale for $1.68. They loved making them although it's alittle hard for anyone under 7
Jake created Santa, Hannah made Frosty and Taylor made Frosty as well :) They turned outreally cute. It's fun making arts and crafts.
After we made crafts, the kids danced to Christmas Music, I couldnt find my ballons because my aret supply closet is full of Christmas tubs but they had fun dancing :)The kids had lots of fun making the crafts although sometimes it's hard to keep Logan and Conner from getting into everything. I will be glad when they get alittle older and they can make crafts as well Merry Christmas :)Remember the reason for the Season.... It's all about Jesus!!

Seasons of our lives

As I was reading through the blogs tonight on the right side. I was thinking about the different meanings between some of the posts. My pastor and his wife today have been married 15 years. He did a wonderful post on his beloved wife and what a wonderful blessing from God she is to him. Then I was reading about a man that I had never met named Jim, (Today is the one year anniversary death of Jim's wife Andrea who died of Cancer)The only reason why I know their blog is because I found his new wife's name mentioned in people Magazine. Her name is Ginger Gilbert( Now known as Ginger Ravella) Taylor had her son Greyson in Kindergarden and 1st Grade. A couple months after first grade started we got a letter home from Taylor's school stating that Greyson's dad Troy was killed in Iraq.. How devestating.. I only never knew Ginger personally just knew that her son was in Taylor's Class.. As I read more about her life I came to realize what a amazing women she was and what Faith she had. She was left behind with 5 small children. A 9 year old, 6 year old, 3 year old and 2 twin two year old daughters. I can't imagine losing the love of your life. I would be devestated for sure. I have yet to write a comment on her blog but I am plan on doing so. Two special days for two different families but one with full of sadness and memory and the other one full of love and admiration. As we go through life we all have our up and down days.. The bible does say...For Every season there is a time to be born and a time to die...This is in Eccelasistics.. One of my favorite verses in the bible. Death is something that is so difficult to understand but the most awesome thing is that if you are a christian.. You know who holds the future.... I have always believed that the things we go through in life are so we can learn from it and help others. I am sure that Greyson's Dad's death made a huge impact on those who didnt know Christ as well as Jim's wife Andrea who died of Cancer last year. I am sure that the pastor and his wife are making a huge impact on the marriage of other people because they are setting a example of what a husband and wife should be to each other. Jason and I have been married for 15 years now and I pray everyday for our love that God would bless us and when we are gone. These are the seasons of our life.. Whether it's in death or life, It's the everyday impact that we can look at later and say Wow.. I made a difference.

~~ Happy is the one who knows what to remember of the past, what to enjoy in the present and what to plan for the future~~~ A. Glason~

Happy 2 year old Birthday Jaqlyn

Today is Jaqlyn's 2 year old Birthday. It's hard to believe she is already 2. It seems just like yesterday she was born and we ran out to San Diego to see her. Because of distance we don't get to see her as much as we would like too.
So Happy Birthday Jaqlyn. We hope that you have a wonderful year of being 2 and that you know that you are loved so much.

Ps. your card is in the mail.. It was late getting sent out( Grandma Kelly's Fault) Sometimes I forget to send the mail out

Love you

Grandma Kelly, Grandpa Jason
Aunt Taylor, Uncle Conner

He finally talks....

After months and months worrying about whether or not Conner was going to start talking.. It has finally happened. I even had a speech lady come out to test him on his in speech. She said oh he is just fine. Of course he started to say a couple things that week.

Here are some of his favorite things to say

"What" ? After you say Conner

Here is our converstation from the other day.

Me: Conner
Conner: What ?
Me: I love you
Conner: Ok

He sounded just like Jason and a couple days later I said the same thing to Jason and that was his exact response.. Unbelieveable lol

Conner's new Phrase well in the car is....

Oh light ... Watch the Road!!.... He is a backstreet driver at such a young age.

When eating food.. Which is rare for him to sit and actucally eat without running around he will say.. Oh that Yummy and rub his tummy

Oh what a mess.. When walking around the house.. ( With all the kids all over the place I am constantly cleaning.

I will post more as he talks more :)

Pictures with Santa

Jason and I took the kids to see Santa Claus tonight at Arrowhead Mall. I was unsure if Conner was going to be shy or scream his head off or smile. We talked about Santa the last couple of weeks and he has been watching Mickey's Once up on a Christmas and there is a big story line with Santa in that movie. We got to the mall after Santa's break. The line was not too bad about 30 mins and Conner did fairly well waiting in the line considering. This year though the prices went up big time. I couldnt believe the amount of money they were charging for Pictures. Last year you got a 5x7, 2 3x5 and 4 wallets for 25.00 This year they were charging 29.00 and up. I thought it would be a little cheaper because of the ecomony but it wasnt. We got the least amount of pictures possible. I figured I could go ahead and scan them at home and hand them out that way as well. Well Conner just loved Santa and was little shy at first but she grinned and then finally sat on his lap, So I was happy that he was not upset. There was a sign that said they didnt want you using your own camera.. Well the sign said.. We repectfully ask that you don't use your own camera but I though heck for thos prices.. I am getting one for myself. After we got the pictures I noticed they had a little greeting at the bottom which was better then years past.

Honeywell's Holiday on Ice Party

Every year Honeywell has a holiday on Ice party for their employee's. They are mainly old skaters that have won olympics in the past and new and upcoming ice skaters. There was a little girl there today that just started skating at the age of 5 and she is 7 now. She was amazing. At the end of the show the kids get a present. We usually move the kids ages up a bit because otherwise they get presents that are not age appropriate. This year Taylor got a little activity book that is electronic that helps you learn the planets and Conner got some games in a big mickey mouse play tub. Here are some pictures from today. Troy and Sherry and Hanannh and Jake also went with us. It was fun :)

Pictures anyone

Trying to get the kids to pose for one simple Christmas Picture was hard work.... Conner was being his usual 2 year old self. Here are some of their poses but for those of you that I send cards too you will have to wait for the best one until you get it in the mail

Amazing group of girls

Recently my girl scout troop did a Charity project for the Phoenix Rescue Mission. The goal in the beginning was to fill 2 boxes up for PRm but Thanks to the girls hard work and donations we were able to fill up 6 boxes for families in need for the Thanksgiving Season. I have been wanting the girls to get into charity work for awhile but I also wanted them to be understand why they were doing what they were doing. The day that the boxes had to be turned in, turned out to be the same day that the girls were suppose to sing in song fest. There was no way we were going to be able to get the kids out of school and drag them down to phoenix and then back to the song fest so Gail, The lady in Charge of the project came to my house and picked up the boxes well the girls loaded them on her truck. Thank you Gail for helping us out :) The girls made Turkey Centerpieces out of clay pots and foam and we put in each box and box of skittles so it could be put in the center of the pot. I don't have a picture of that, which I should of but I do have pictures and viedo of the girls with the boxes that day.

To this little boy my name is Kelly

But.... My name should be Mommy.. Before Conner called me "Ma" ... Jason got the same response for awhile until finally he started calling him Daddy.. Well my new name has become Kelly. Conner will go to bed and play around and I will tell him goodnight and just leave, letting him know I am not giving into his game and he will say... "Wait Kelly"... What's up with that ? Taylor used to call me Kelly all the time because of the girls I nannied for.. They used my name all the time and she picked up on it fast.. But I would love to be mommy for awhile since this is my last baby. Me and Conner have had talks about this.. I will see what happens.. Pray for the best lol..

Shaving Cream Fun

A couple weeks back. Conner and Jake had fun playing in shaving cream outside. They had fun running cars through it and making tire tracks and just squshing it between their fingers. Conner didnt eat it so that was a good thing. They played in it for about 25 minutes and had a ball :) Here are some pictures from their fun.

Homemade Fun

The other day I came back from Christmas shopping and Jason and Taylor were making homemade items . Both Jason and Taylor are so creative. I on the other hand have to sit and think about things for awhile before I can even think of trying to be creative.. I am a slower thinker. Jason had made Taylor a guitar and she was all excited about it, Of course right after he made her it, Conner kept walking around the house saying My guitar.. My toy.. Taylor then made Conner a basket to hold his baby in with just paper plates, and foam. Very thoughtul sister.
Here are the pictures from the guitar and baby basket :)

Giving to those in Need

Due to the ecomony and the loss of so many jobs, there is such a need out there to donate now more then ever. Phoenix Rescuse Mission is a charity that my girl scout troop just helped recently with food donations. We were able to give 6 boxes of food to those in need. I was reading that the mission is now feeding about 200,000 people a day. If you feel like you have any extra thing to give or donate, PRM Is a wonderful Christian Charity. People are coming to them daily and they don't wish to turn anyone away. If you would like to help here is some information.

What I am thankful for

With Thanksgiving day just two days away.. I thought I would sit down and write of what I am really thankful for. With everything going on in the world there are still some things to be thankful for, at least for me

  • Christ who gave up his life for me, for that I am very Greatful
  • 2 healthy Children
  • A Husband who loves and supports me 110%
  • My mom who helps me out so much.. I could not do everything I do without your help, love and support. I love you Mom!!
  • Blessed to have a wonderful Step daughter, cutest little Granddaughter and awesome Son in law who loves his wife and supports her and her goals.
  • Wonderful family members who do support me
  • My health.. I am maintaing my blood levels so that is wonderful :)
  • Family is means the world to me.
  • Blessed that we can have a roof over our house and food on our table.
  • Grateful that I am able to help 10 girls in Girl scouts become the girls that they will be in the future.
  • Thankful for my friends :)
  • Even though the Usa is having money problems.. I am blessed to live in a free country.
  • Thankful that I am able to spend time with Conner and watch him grow up like I did with Taylor.
  • Blessed to have both my grandma's around still
  • Thankful that I was able to be a nanny for 3 girls for 8 years and now even though I am not with them daily they are still near and dear to my heart and always will be. I love you Lauren, Shannon and Megan.. I miss you
This Thanksgiving what are you thankful for ? I know it's difficult now because the way
things are but just look at the simple things in life and realize that life is too short to worry
about it.

1 little, 2 little, 3 little Indians.........

Jake and Conner and Logan and I made little Indian Headbands. We had fun making them but the boys had alot of fun running around the room pretending to be Indians. Here is a picture of them with their hats. Below is a video of them running around the room having fun.. Logan was shy with it all thoug

Taylor's soccer Season

Taylor finally ended her soccer season. Although it was great to get her back in the sport she loves, I am excited to actucally have some weekends. Every weekend we have been running to her games. Her team I think only managed to win one or two games but it was good for her to get out and learn to how to be a team player and have fun while getting exercise. She was suppose to have her last game on the 15th and of course I planned a baby shower for my sister in law that on the 22nd. I found out the week before her game that she was going to have playoffs on the 22nd. I really wanted to be there but just couldnt. Poor Jason had to work that day and then go and get her and Conner from my mom's house and then run to the game and then to the pizza party after the game. I do not have pictures of the actucal day but I do have trophy pictures. Taylor was so excited about the trophies. She has 3 now. She would of had 4 but her first soccer coach when she was 4 fizzled out at the end.. She wanted me to take pictures of all the trophies. So here you go :) Enjoy
This is my second attempt at making a new blog, In editing beacause I am new on this site, I managed to go ahead and delete my new blog that I made.. Blah.. So I am trying this whole thing over. I got out of blogging on my other site because I wanted something new and I didnt like the way that the pictures turned out on wordpress. My hope in this blog is that I will get lots of readers .. I also love comments :) I like to write about everyday life, things that catch my eye and funny things and activites I do with the kids and girl scouts.. I hope you enjoy :)
